Electronic
Models
There are three main
reasons to get an 'electronic' pet door:
- To let your pets in and out while
keeping out neighbourhood pets and other animals.
- Keep one pet in, often a cat, while
letting others out.
-
To improve security - a
person can't get in either.
In addition
to these,
there are a few more less common ones:
- To lock baby in while letting the pets
out.
- To prevent the wind blowing the pet
door open - electronics are wind-proof.
- Electronic panel pet doors are all
manufactured by installing a regular electronic pet door into a
panel assembly.
Important Notes:
All electronic panels are designed to keep intruders out.
Only the medium size controls in both directions.
For that reason, it's the best choice for keeping an indoor pet in.
(Please Note) that
there is nothing to prevent one pet
from following immediately behind another wearing a collar key.
Small and Sm/Med
electronic doors come with two collar keys.
[Spare keys are available].
Note that
the Sm/Med size comes with 'small dog' collar keys.
Smaller keys more suitable for cats are available at extra cost.

'Rise'
is the height of the flap above the base of the pet door.
We suggest that 'flap height' + 'rise' should about equal pet
shoulder height.

Please note
that medium, large and xlarge bronze Quick Fit will have satin
frames around the flap. The rest of the panel will be bronze. The
electronic medium size will always have white plastic framing around
the flap.

that doors taller than 81" will require air shipping due to box
size.
Orders will be adjusted accordingly if necessary.
