Carol combines Expertise - Enthusiasm, & Energy with Extensive Experience as an Entrepreneur to provide Education through Entertainment.

AVIAN ADVENTURES was founded by Carol Frank in January, 1996 after she realized that there was a significant need in the market for a truly premium quality line of bird cages.

She was in a unique position to assess this need as she had owned a bird-oriented pet shop (The Animal Kingdom, Dallas, Texas) for four years and a distributor of bird products, Avian Kingdom Supply, for eight years.

Avian Kingdom distributed a well-known line of wrought-iron, powder-coated cages that Carol thought she could improve on.

Thus Avian Adventures was born.

Our founder and Chairwoman, Carol Frank, is a CPA who has a BBA in accounting from University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.

She began her career with Arthur Young before switching to the pet industry in 1987 when she opened Animal Kingdom.

She currently serves on the boards of the Dallas Audubon Society.

She is a former first vice-president of the Pet Industry Distributor’s Association and the Dallas chapter of Young Entrepreneur’s Organization.

Carol is also a professional speaker who speaks to business leaders and entrepreneurs about the joys and pitfalls of running a business.

She is the only member of the National Speaker's Association whose keynote speech features a parrot!

She is also an avid bird fanatic and is the proud owner of a Solomon-Island Eclectus named Murphy Green and a Black-Headed Caique named Chuck.
