Ingredients - Preparation
AMISH POPPY SEED BREAD
  • 3 c.flour
  • 1/2 tsp.salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp.baking powder
  • 3 eggs,beaten
  • 1 1/2 c.oil
  • 2 1/2 c.sugar
  • 1 1/2 c.milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp.vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp.almond flavor
  • 1 1/2 tsp.butter flavor
  • 1 1/2 tbsp.poppy seeds

GLAZE:

  • 1/4 c.orange juice
  • 3/4 c.sugar
  • 1/2 tsp.almond flavor
  • 1/2 tsp.butter flavor
  • 1/2 tsp.vanilla

Sift together first 3 engredients.

Add remaining ingredients.

Mix and put into 2 greased and floured bread pans.

Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees or until toothpick test comes out clean.

Stir all the ingredients together.

Prick the loaves with a fork after baking & pour the glaze over while hot.
